In the beginning of March 2013 the Moscow State Opera named after N.Sats was on tour in Dublin, Ireland with opera “Carmen” by G.Bizet (directed by Georgiy Isaakyan, set by Philipp Vinogradov based on Pablo Picasso’s works). During this tour we were lucky to collaborate with photographer Keith Dixon, working with whom has really made a great impression on us.
It must be admitted that professional theatre photographer is a rarity, but Keith Dixon really is a skilled photographer and we are happy that we have had an opportunity to work with such a professional person.
During shooting the show he was able to capture the very necessary moments, glances, movements and all these details helped to reproduce the feelings and atmosphere of the performance perfectly – that is the most important thing for theatre photography.
After-show photocall didn’t turn into exhausting procedure, and a result was amazingly unconstrained and natural photos.
Working with Keith was an absolute pleasure and honor for the whole our team and we all hope that it is not too long before we have a chance to collaborate with Keith Dixon again.
